Alongside his work writing and producing for others, Sam writes and records music under his own name and with his band, Astronaut Pushers.
Sam Ashworth is a three-time Grammy-nominated songwriter, artist, and producer whose work has shaped chart-topping records, award-winning films, and global hits. Across a 25-year career, his songwriting, vocals, and production have contributed to more than 1.5 billion streams worldwide.
Born in Sacramento and raised in Nashville, Ashworth grew up in the studio with his father, Grammy-winning songwriter and producer Charlie Peacock. Ashworth's songwriting has been getting recognition since he was 16 years of age, when a song he wrote on his own was recorded by Sixpence None the Richer on their certified platinum album.
Ashworth co-wrote "Hard Place" for H.E.R., featured on I Used to Know Her, helping earn Grammy nominations for both Song and Album of the Year. He also co-wrote "Without You" for Andy Grammer, and his music has been recorded by a wide range of artists across genres. His song "Speak Now," performed by Leslie Odom Jr. in the film One Night in Miami, won the Critics' Choice Movie Award and received nominations at both the Academy Awards and Golden Globe Awards, along with a Grammy nomination for Best Song Written for Visual Media.
Internationally, Ashworth's work includes the Dutch dance hit "Million Times" with Rui, and "Feeling You," recorded by Harrison Storm, which was featured in the Netflix series Locke & Key. As a vocalist, he has appeared on Dierks Bentley's quadruple-platinum hit "Drunk on a Plane" and on Norah Jones's album Pick Me Up Off the Floor.
In addition to his extensive songwriting and production work, he has released multiple solo projects and continues to write and collaborate with artists around the world.
